When the weather’s nice, your outdoor spaces are fun and enjoyable. To keep your decks, patios and sidewalks in the best shape, however, you should do a little maintenance each season.
Spring
When the weather starts to warm up, you spend more time in your outdoor living spaces. It’s also the perfect time to prepare for the seasons ahead. Sweep off any debris that has collected, such as leaves and sticks. Use a leaf blower to make the job easier.

Winter
If you won’t be on your deck or patio in the winter, it’s time to pack up or cover outdoor furniture. Store pillows and cushions inside. Clear away any debris that has collected in the corners and crevices.
A little work and prevention go a long way to extending the lifespan of your decks and patios. You can keep them in good shape for many seasons of enjoyment.
